About us
Ours is one of the oldest aided undergraduate and Post graduate departments of the college. Many students of the college, who completed their graduation from our department, are rendering their services in the state or union bureaucracy. Our department was elevated up to Post Graduation level in 1990. At present we offer U.G., P.G. and Ph.D. program for the students of philosophy. It’s our privilege that we are one of those few colleges of the state, whose each program run by the department of philosophy are aided by the state government. A great number of scholars have completed their Ph.D. degree under the guidance of our learned faculty members of the department during last 10 years. We have organized Several UGC sponsored seminars in our department. We regularly invited the eminent scholars of the subject to deliver their lectures on specific topics for benefitting our students.

Philosophy is like a medicine. Each have to take it either they have knowledge of it or not. During last 33 years of my service, in the field of education, I regularly tried to aware the people regarding the right use of their reason, to explore the realities of our life for removing the suffering from their life. In the continuation of my effort, I invite the people of the rest world to learn philosophy not for only knowledge but for the right use of knowledge to enlighten the darkness of life. “Jalao diye par rahe dhyan itna andhera dhara par kahin rah na jaye.”

Brief Activity
Despite the teaching and research related activities, we usually try to perform yoga like activities so that the health of the students either physical or mental can be made better. Seminar or paper presentations like activities are also part of our effort to make younger India healthy and smart.
